Hi, my name is Dana DeGennaro. IÕm a 1996 graduate of Johnson & Wales University, one of the countryÕs top culinary institutes, and author of ÒDANAÕS 100 FAVORITE SOUPS (But I Could Only Come Up with 82)Ó. Soups have always been my specialty. I even won ÒBest ChowderÓ in BostonÕs Chowder Festival at the Copley Place Marriott in Boston while completing my studies. I grew up summering in Nantucket and was head chef at some of the islandÕs finest restaurants, even earning the coveted ÒBest Breakfast in NantucketÓ for my service at the Beach Plum CafŽ. ThereÕs nothing I enjoy more than creating a great meal which I believe starts with a fine soup. IÕve been lucky enough to attend workshops by great chefs like Julia Childs, Emeril Lagassi and Paul Purdhomme, learning and perfecting along the way.
