The Pittsburgh Salon of Photographic Art has been a Pittsburgh institution for over one hundred years. In 2024, the Photographic Section of the Academy of Science and Art of Pittsburgh (informally, The Pittsburgh Photography Club) collaborated with the Pittsburgh Poetry Collective to create an ekphrastic presentation of poetry and photography which was presented at the Salon.
