In 2003, Robert Vega became a full-time teacher. Over the next several years, he felt that he had fallen into the additional role of ÒcounselorÓ much more than teachers had in past decades. He believes that one reason our nation is lacking in Math and Science is that students today are coming to the classroom with more emotional turmoil than past generations. One way to address this issue is to remind todayÕs youth that before they can reach their full potential in the classroom, they must be given the tools and inspiration to deal with their personal lives. That is the goal of this book.
