The Kingdom of Illitia, ruled by Wise King Ashton. A death of a noble to the south places his power-hungry son in power, and civil war hangs over the nation in an ever-growing cloud of despair. Zachariah Ranier, lord of Geremine, plots to break his territory from its motherland but knows he lacks the power to do so. Instead, he takes another route- to strike at Ashton personally and prove his ability. He elects to employ the services of an infamous, uncatchable assassin: Cerin Alliston.
