The idea for ÔDiary Of A DiabeticÕ hatched form the need to get to know and maybe understand the most obvious of host diseases that began to get serious with me (un-affectionately called silent killers). Although the mechanics of the diary is central to this book, it is more than repetitive diary type entries. It uses stories, events, investigations and analysis to extract meaningful interpretations that helped me to understand those dreaded host diseases, even when professional treatment was not proper. Indeed, thanks to the diary, I gained sufficient insight to realize that after my initial attack, Ôit was not the diabetes that nearly killed me; it was the doctor!Õ
