I was notified by a property manager that I was going to work on a
300 unit renovation. I owned the construction company that was to
construct and remodel the 300 units. The place was called 'River
Pointe.' The property manager at that time said there was a smaller
apartment building he found for sale, but he didn't want to tell me the
location. Instead, he wanted me to enter into a partnership with him
to manage it, but I would do the construction and renovate it because
the property was falling apart; the front porch to the apartment units
was damaged and needed renovation. So, I expressed some interest,
and, long story short, he gave me the address and said as a licensed
realtor, I would have to look into it, and I ended up looking online for
the property.
