This laboratory manual is intended to guide students through an undergraduate curriculum course that begins with tutorials in rapid prototyping, includes basic discrete circuit implementation, and concludes with the student developing and implementing a small computer-controlled robot.
It is assumed that the student will have access to Altera's UP development board, a computer workstation, an oscilloscope, a logic analyzer, simple TTL devices, and a protoboard.
This laboratory manual utilizes the exercises in the textbook "Rapid Prototyping of Digital Systems," by James O. Hamblen and Michael D. Furman, Kluwer Academic Publishers.
