This is the story of Jack Clarence Alexander and Dillien Lorraine Estopy, married on August 11, 1928 in Parsons Kansas. They successfully raising two sons born during the depression of the 1930s. In 1942, the family moved to Denver, Colorado where Jack worked at a DuPont munitions factory. In 1943, they moved to the Hanford Project at Richland, Washington, where Jack was an operator at AmericaÕs first atomic reactor designed to produce plutonium, which was used in the 1945 atom bomb that ended the war with Japan.
Jack and Dillien were a major influence in the lives of their family and friends. They are wonderful examples of people living life in a commendable manner, taking advantage of opportunities offered to them, living peaceful and satisfying lives, lives worth remembering.
