This toolkit uses a peer mentoring approach to working with disabled and non-disabled young people via its 11 youth-led sessions. Participants are invited to explore topics such as independence; stereotypes; communication; equality and language. The programme includes 40 plus activities, games and team building exercises leading to planning and running a trip out. Young people will deomonstrate improved social skills and confidence through participation in this programme which supports the acquisition of Youth Achievement Awards and Peer Qualifications.
