This series of the Adventures of Rainbow and Sunshine begins with the first book Ð Dreams can come true which introduces the main characters Rainbow and Sunshine. These sisters are curious, and fun loving and this book highlights there unique yet different personalities showing the readers there way of life and where whey live, which is up in the sky in a magical and secret place called Cloud Island that no humans have ever discovered.
They have a mum who is Òmother natureÓ in future books she occasionally has to step in and help guide them in the right direction, like a parent would, and she is briefly introduced in this book. This creates a family unit that children will be able to relate to.
Rainbow and Sunshine have a connection with animals and with the natural environment and live in harmony with them. These sisters have a mission and that is to help the planet and teach others to live in harmony with the environment and those around them just as they do.
After the main characters are introduced in Dreams can come true, the book then moves onto a little boy called Tommy who is obsessed with Rainbows. He has a dream and that is to meet Rainbow, as he believes that the Rainbow will be able to help his mum who doesnÕt have much money yet works very hard for her and her son. He hopes that rainbow may be able to give him some gold from the pot that sits on the end of her rainbow tail.
