This compilation is a selection of early Assyrian national songs, some of which have been recorded for the first time. The texts come from magazines and books by well-known personalities such as Naum Faiq, Yuhanon Dolabani, Abrohom Haqwerdi and Yuhanon Qashisho.
The melodies were mainly taken from church hymns or well-known folk melodies at the time. Two songs were composed by Gabriel Asaad.
George Hayrabedian has given these melodies a new lease of life with his new arrangements.
The songs are performed by well-known Assyrian singers: Linda Hadiko, Pascal Bashir, Hani Safar, Andreas Beshabo, Josef Chachan and George Hayrabedian.
The book includes QR codes to all 11 newly remastered and recorded audio files of the songs.
