The ECS Extended BASIC interpreter was written by Oscar Toledo G. (nanochess) in September 2025 as an advanced replacement for the original Mattel¨ Intellivision ECS BASIC.
This new BASIC interpreter supports 26 numeric variables, 26 string variables, and 26 different arrays, along a syntax compatible with classic BASIC. The floating-point support is 32 bits (25-bit mantissa, 7-bit exponent, plus sign bit) Also, it is around ten times faster than the original ECS BASIC, and incorporates string and mathematical functions.
The ECS Extended BASIC interpreter allows you to unleash the potential of your Intellivision console to develop useful programs, do mathematical calculations, and even write games for your Intellivision.
This manual will allow you to get started with it, however, it won't teach you BASIC language as there are many books on that subject., intellivision, ecs, keyboard, mattel, interpreter, basic, Oscar Toledo Gutierrez| 9781257104680 | 36PAGES
