This is my personal memoir of growing up in Fairy Hills, a wilderness corner of Ivanhoe, a suburb of Melbourne, only a few kilometres from the CBD. Located off the main roads at the junction of the Yarra River and the Darebin Creek Fairy Hills has streets with fairy names and a quiet peaceful charm. This small book was originally written for my 8 year-old granddaughter many years ago. Here is a collection of personal memories of my life in the Good Ol' Days and my world as a child of the '40s and early 50s. ABOUT THE AUTHOR.
