The sorceress, Felicia, takes on an apprentice Ð a young girl on the run from some tragedy in her past. With FeliciaÕs aid, Sandy finds safety and security, first in the shop of a local glassmaker, then in FeliciaÕs tower itself where the girl is taught the rudimentaries of magic.
