This is a condensation of a journal that my
daughter asked me to keep concerning the lifestyle, the people, and my personal thoughts about the first twenty one years of my life. I grew up in a small West Texas farming community during the 1940Õs and 1950Õs. The names, places, and events are factual to the best of my knowledge. It is a depiction of growing up in two of the greatest decades in American history. I have interjected humor with fact for the enjoyment of the reader. This was a very special time, not only for me, but also for others my age who shared this experience. This book is Americana Texana at its best, and I hope that it will serve as a small window into these two great decades that we can share together.
