Towards a Sustainable Food Ecology is a research thesis for an M.Arch degree from Washington University focusing on the rethinking of the Saint Louis regional food system in an ecologically sustainable manner. The architectural component of the thesis is to be a food ecology institute located in the mule barns of the former National Stockyards north of East Saint Louis, Illinois.
