Edmundo Farolan has written a collection of plays in Spanish, Hexalogia Teatral, which was published in 2010 in Spain. He has professionally acted and directed in plays as well as film. He was awarded the Zobel Prize in 1982 for his book of poems, Tercera Primavera, published in Bogot‡ when he was doing post-doctoral studies at the Instituto Caro y Cuervo in 1981, and in 2017, the III JosŽ Rizal Prize for Literature for his semi-biographical novel, El diario de Frankie Aguinaldo.
