There was a series of incidents that came to light, at different points, all in quick succession
that triggered the need to conduct empirical research on the shelter home established in Bihar.
Discussing this with the local inhabitants reminded me how relevant and significant it is to
collect information from the ground, based on the lived experiences of people, something that
the reports filled with mere statistics often do not do.
