This booklet contains twenty-two posts from the first eight
years of "The French Genealogy Blog" on the subject of genealogical
research using French notarial records. Some
new material, including a glossary of notarial terms, has
been written exclusively for this booklet. It follows on our
first publication "French Genealogy From Afar", which explains
the basics of French genealogy and without which
this booklet may seem a bit confusing.
