Alfred Seiler was a young man growing up amid the Nazi terror in Vienna, Austria. He and his whole family were sent to a concentration camp. They lived in constant fear of death and only escaped to the Russian lines at the last minute. Instead of being freed, they were treated as German spies and sent to a Soviet Gulag.
