From very modest beginnings in rural North Carolina, author Don Tickle made his mark on the international stage as one of the pioneers in the import/export furniture business.
As one of the first Americans to venture into the then unexplored Asian market, Don quickly made friends worldwide with his open personality, creative spirit and his deep respect for other cultures. The result was a highly successful career with offices throughout the US and centered in High Point, NC, the hub of the American furniture design business.
Don's experiences sometimes resulted in humorous situations and sometimes in unexpected calamities. Occasionally, they led him into life-threatening danger.
