Presentation of the basic principles and practice of crop production in the tropics for students in Schools and Colleges of Agriculture as well as undergraduates and graduates in universities. The book is a teaching and learning text rather than a research monograph. Yet, some references have been given to serve as suggestion for further reading of details on the topics and / or examples given. Specifically, this book provides necessary information on the establishment, improvement, management, harvesting, processing and storage of the major arable / field and permanent / tree / fruit / horticultural crops that are commonly cultivated in the tropics. In order to test studentsÕ knowledge of specific topics, tutorial questions have been provided at the end of the book.
