The manuscript consists of 67 poems based on familiar stories or passages from the Old Testament Bible. Nearly all of the major figures in the Old Testament are included, from Adam and Eve to Moses to Jonah and the fish. Reading the book straight through is somewhat like reading a highly condensed version of the Old Testament. The poems are meant to praise and celebrate the Bible and they will appeal primarily to Jewish and Christian readers. They should be especially appealing to Bible Study Groups.
