The Arshi captive was being kept in the main room of the inn with two Knights guarding him. He sat on the ground with his head leaning back against the wall, his eyes closed, and his hands bound.
Miken strode toward him and stabbed the dagger into the wall near the Arshi's head.
The Arshi didn't flinch, but his eyes slowly opened.
"What is this?" Miken asked, allowing all his anger to come through in his voice. He kept his hand on the dagger to guard it.
The Arshi's gaze didn't move from where he stared at the floor.
"Why was this stabbed in our mattress?" Miken asked.
The Arshi still gave no answer.
Miken struck the captive across the face. "It's due time I heard a word from you," Miken said through his teeth. The Arshi took a long, slow breath. "For now you live because the Arshi allow it," he said. He closed his eyes and leaned his head back again. "You have been warned."
