HALFWAY
John Callahan, an embittered, wounded and
medically discharged, decorated Vietnam War
veteran that just recently lost both parents in a
car accident and his wife had divorced him and
gotten full custody of their son, Joey. After
being discharged from a naval hospital, he buys
a used truck and drives aimless through
California, Nevada and Utah until his life is
changed in the small town of Halfway,
Wyoming, when he blindly runs a red light and is
almost hit by a pickup truck.
After that incident, he starts to realize that
there is still kindness, compassion and
friendship inherent in people by the
occurrences that start taking place in his life.
He decides to settle in Halfway and is
awakened by his awareness that life is worth
living and eventually is rewarded by this faith.
