Followers of the Arthurian legend are very familiar with Mordred, the king's illegitimate son who treacherously leads to the destruction of the Round Table and the Arthurian world. But in older stories and legends, Arthur had another son-Lohoot-who figured as one of the most important characters in early Arthurian legend. Though a great hero, he becomes totally eclipsed by later figures until he gets only a single line mention in Sir Thomas Malort's great Le Morte d'Arthur.
