In creating this project, Carrie Butts and Lauren Hodum started with a desire to connect freshmen and sophomore GT Humanities students with area veterans to give the students both real world experience in creating an anthology and create a relationship between student and service men and women. Students were paired with area veterans, the veterans were interviewed both through email and real-life interviews, and their stories were carefully crafted. Students served as interviewers, editors, organizers and designers. Carrie Butts and Lauren Hodum are incredibly proud of the hard work our 120 GT Humanities students have put in to this anthology, where students have provided both biographical information and told a story in great respect and reverence for our area service people.
