Depression yanks on the heartstrings more than 18 million Americans every year. Mothers - especially those with a few gallons of postpartum hormones pumping through their veins - are particularly vulnerable to the disease.
In other words, you or someone you know (or perhaps a bunch of someones you know) is probably having a really crappy time dealing with the stuff in their head.
In 2018, I was one of those someones.
'Honest Selfies' follows the year I began publicly detailing my on-again-off-again relationship with depression. For 12 painful months, I shared the enclosed 30 selfies, which - coupled with their captions - paint a real-life picture of my life with the disease.
