A special merit of this Encyclopaedic dictionary is that the author has done everything possible - and succeeded, in an impressive proportion - to present us Bessarabia, respectively, the Republic of Moldova, as an area where always pulsated an original culture, at least during the last two centuries. Usually, this culture is part of old, many centuries continuity, but we are often surprised to discover ÒexplosionsÓ, ÒoutburstsÓ, ÒjumpsÓ of generating mentality of amazing phases of cultural evolution in the world. This culture of Bessarabia Ð Republic of Moldova is extremely varied, colourful, multi-dimensional. Including due to the fact that we have an extremely fertile ground to be manifested in arts, literature, science, ingenuity, inventiveness, fantasies, etc. Ð representatives of cohabitant ethnicities, be it either millenary coexistence, be secular or for only few decades. There cannot be neglected also this truth: a lot of our compatriots were able to manifest themselves fully, often amazingly, not only (or not so much at home), but far from their home, in areas where ethnicity is of secondary importance, the first being talent, perseverance, ambition, aspiration to impose yourself, to win favours of the public and specialists in the field.
It should be mentioned one more virtue of Encyclopaedic Dictionary of Denis Rosca, which metaphorically we call it juvenile or modern actuality/update of content: he included in the work personalities and performances of recent times, even of the last decade, even last year! Ð especially in sports, modelling, clothing art, design, other ultramodern forms tasted particularly avid by young people in our country. Other encyclopaedic sources of our country, of course, would turn their eyes to these young scions of modern aesthetics, with nice outgrowth, just it would make it over years and years, another would be already colour, flavour, ingenuity of performance, respectively of the person that recorded it.
