You are about to read what itÕs like to grow up in a home where no love was shown, the product of living in a multitude of foster homes, the product of trying to survive from day to day in a neighborhood full of crime, violence and drugs, never knowing when or where my siblings and I might eat again. You will see and read language resulting from the anger and helplessness of the feelings these circumstances cultivated. In order for the reader to fully understand the events of my childhood, and the situation of current foster children, and how we learned to speak and communicate via these words at ages as young as five years old, it is necessary to include the language. If you are shocked, then IÕve accomplished my purpose. This is real life for thousands of kids that are growing up just like I did.
