This book was made to not only teach the alphabets, but to embrace black children, their hair texture and hair styles, and of course, all of their physical features.I decided to make my first childrenÕs book something that taught the alphabets while also integrating black children/black hairstyles. Within the book, each letter is represented by a hairstyle that is common within the black community.
