Although they are most often thought of as a team, or a pair of frenemies, the little yellow bird arrived in the cartoons first, over 80- years ago, with Sylvester The Cat arriving five years later Ð they teamed up for dozens of cartoons shorts form 1947-1962, and while they have gone into semi-retirement, have appeared in specials, cartoons and films over the decades- and the rumor is that the bird is back with a new series on Cartoon network! In the comics they keep that same mostly enemies / sometimes friends theme going, with exciting stories of action and hilarity. Okay, we typically know how it's going to end, but it's about the journey more than the destination. Only a handful of issues have been unearthed in the public domain, but that treasure --- #4-7 of the Dell Series Ð are part of that booty, reprinted for you here!
