"I Used to Be Pretty" takes a look at displacement of the unseen and redeveloped with an emphasis on capturing interactions with the forgotten individual. The nostalgic energy of Los Angeles seen through the subject matter of the overlooked and forgotten is showcased to resonate a familiar snapshot moment that is reminiscent of a routine life. Capturing this ever-changing city in the film photographic form maintains the nostalgia of the soon to be renovated landscape of Los Angeles. My hope for this book is to bring attention to these aspects of life in Los Angeles that deserve a second look.
