The character of "narration" is a basic element of this piece. ÒIl mio bianco taccuino sotto il sole" goes through different continuous moments of one single story where several situations occur and several emotions are involved, and none of them goes lost. At the end of it, in a sort of ÒCodaÓ, a quotation of the melodic phrase ÒEs ist vollbrachtÓ, from J.S. BachÕs Johannes Passion, takes us to a new landscape where the three instruments just gently evoke, as a lovely memory from far away, a traditional Sicilian tune: ÒCantu di spartenzaÓ (Song Of Departure).
