3rd & 4th grades cover both the city of Chicago and the state of Illinois in their social studies classes. This project took that information and connected it to the any famous musicians from the same areas. Students were able to apply what they already learned in social studies and make connections in music class. It's important to have the information taught in school be relevant in the lives of the learners.
