This improvisation on "No‘l Nouvelet" was improvised at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Worcester, MA on 5 May 2020, and was transcribed verbatim. A classic example of a melody in the Dorian mode, the tune is particular useful, being appropriate for either Christmas or Easter (the latter to the words "Now the green blade rises"). This volume contains two versions of the same work, one in the original key of D Dorian, the other transposed up to E Dorian (the latter being particularly useful as a prelude to the hymn).
