The entire play is set in a cornfield. The play is about gender-non-conforming geneticist Barbara McClintock and her companion/partner Harriet Creighton, and McClintockÕs revolutionary quest to understand diversity in nature and to reframe ÒdevianceÓ as an expression of natural variance.
