Michael Garrison is a professor at Carson College in Portland, Maine, teaching the arts to aspiring authors, filmmakers, and artists. HeÕs a favorite among the students, giving them the benefit of the doubt and allowing them to express themselves however they please.
During a rough period in GarrisonÕs life, he turns his focus to his students. He pays close attention to who his students are and what they do outside of the classroom, hoping to understand who they are at their core. Life experiences make us who we are, and Garrison wants nothing more than to know his students to their fullest extent, with the purest of intentions, of course.
Throughout the development of his notes, Garrison forms a deeper connection with his students.
