The rich heritage of the Boulder Colorado Stake began when pioneer members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints immigrated to the shadow of the Rockies and brought their strong, unwavering faith with them. Devoted members like, ÒGrandma DagleÓ in Longmont and the Damstedt family in Broomfield, came to the Boulder Valley and established the beginning of a faithful group of saints.

Other Saints arrived in subsequent years, combining their faith and discipleship of Jesus Christ with the like-minded members. They met in membersÕ homes, rented halls, and old churches, gradually expanding into small branches and wards. They built three meetinghouses with their own hands along with raising money to finance them.

Because of their unyielding faith and dedication, they established a strong foundation for the Boulder Colorado Stake. Their stories are shared in this history.

After the Boulder Colorado Stake was organized on January 28, 1973, the church membership grew, new wards were created, and the Boulder Colorado Stake Center was dedicated on August 5, 1984. This history tells the stories of the members as they built a strong and vibrant stake during the first ten years of its existence. It also includes seven chapters summarizing the tenure and contributions of each of the seven stake presidents, who served at various times from 1973 until 2023.

This history is not a summary of all the stake activities and events throughout its fifty years of existence. It would be impossible to list them all. Recognizing that there are untold events, activities, and spiritual experiences, a timetable is included at the end of the history showing the chronological flow of the major stake milestones., Boulder, Stake, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Colorado, History, Jackie Bedwell| | 562PAGES
