This yearÕs Infill Housing studio documents new buildings in Miami and Savannah. In Miami the students documented three neighborhoods: North Shore and Normandy Isle, located in Miami Beach, and Little Havana, located in the City of Miami. All three of these neighborhoods have the beginnings of concentrated urbanism, have a strong sense of place, and are ripe for infill development. The Savannah trip was earlier in the semester, and the students documented six wards and their individual buildings. This shift allowed the students more time to study a Savannah precedence and understand how it works in an urban context.
