Dementia/AlzheimerÕs is a debilitating and progressive disease. At each stage from diagnosis to final transition requires loving, considerate and empathetic care. As a professional caregiver, my years of care for wonderful persons affected by this disease, I share this testimony. My patients have taught me some valuable lessons about how to engage them in a meaningful and productive way.
