This book had been focus on the design for intranet for the
tactical army and how it affects the organization's work.
Intranets can be rich environments that facilitate the
exchange of information, data, and ideas among employees
at all levels of the organization. Creating this rich
environment, however, means that it will take advantage of
an assortment of Internet-based technologies rather than just the Web. The Web, instead of assuming the entire role of the intranet, becomes the glue that holds the system together and the road map that employees use to access information regardless of the technology used to store and deliver it.
