Most of the materials in this book originated from the authorÕs lecture notes for an applied modern physics course. The author made a significant effort to show students the practical applications of modern physics concepts to semiconductors and semiconductor devices and their use in electronics circuits in a single book that is very difficult to find in any other popular text. The material in this book is intended for upper division undergraduate and graduate students majoring in science and engineering.
