Informational Monism was developed between 1980 and 1988 by Steven & Pauline Richards; as a necessary consequence of their psychodynamic practice, being influenced by the systems_thinking of professor Steven Rose of the Dialectics of Biology Group: and professor George L EngelÕs biopsychosocial medical model. Additional inspiration came from the work of biologist Dr Rupert Sheldrake and his morphogenetic and formative causation field theories; and the information_based, psychobiological model of hypnosis and psychotherapy, developed by professor Ernest L Rossi.

From this synthesis, came Dialectical Syncretism and Quantum Psychodynamics.

The work by Nobel Laureate in physics, Sir Roger Penrose, and professor of anaesthesiology and psychology, Stuart Hameroff, on Platonic field_theory and quantum consciousness in the brain, has further informed the development of the Psycho_Systems Analysis, Informational Monism and Superposition Theory.

The purpose of this present volume is to introduce Informational Monism and Superposition Theory, as it is applied in the Quantum Psychodynamic model of Depth Psychology and Psychotherapy, that is Psycho_Systems Analysis Ð part of the emergent new_paradigm of psychological therapy, that integrates biological and psychological science for the twenty first century.
