The Roscoff Johnnies
Starting from his childhood in Roscoff, then going on to 1951 when Olivier SŽitŽ first became a Johnny at almost 15 selling onions in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, with his father and family, and continuing up till his recent death in 2013, I have tried to capture the importance that this commerce has had on not only our own lives, but on the life and economy of almost every family in Roscoff. I have added photos showing family life and work, plus a few recipes using our delicious Oignons RosŽs (Pink Onions) which I hope you all find of interest.
