Milly Mole meets an anteater while she is out in the countryside tunnelling. She befriends the anteater and invites him to come to the storytelling evening on Brockie field where all the little creatures, Olive Owl, Ron Raccoon Izzy Beaver, Harry Hedgehog and the two little beavers Molly and Betsy all live. The little creatures befriend the anteater who has come from the Rain Forrest in Central America. They also befriend a falcon and with the help of Mickey Ferret they get the Falcon and the anteater settled on Farmer Jones' farm. However the anteater gets lonely and homesick and the little creatures plan to get him safely home.
