Izzy Beaver and his little friends Peggy Squirrel, Olive Owl, Ron Raccoon, Molly and Betsy Beaver, Milly Mole and Harry Hedgehog live on Brockie field and have many adventures together. In this story they go to the aid of the Willow Tits and help to build nests for them. They get involved with the Witch of the Woods to try and save the woods from being chopped down by the wood cutters. They are rewarded with a trip into the past in the Witch of the Wood's time machine and Izzy ends up in a medieval castle
