This book tells the story of the Jacobs, Outs, Grewel, Oudgenoeg, and Hiegentlich families. It takes a journey through the history of the Netherlands and the traditions of these Jewish families from the 17th century to the present. It is also a memorial to at least 351 individuals from these families who perished at the hands of the Nazis in extermination camps during World War II and the only 33 known survivors.
