At the heart of historic Christianity is the astounding profession of faith in Jesus as Savior and Lord by those transformed into His image by GodÕs Holy Spirit (born again). His birth is celebrated all around the world at Christmastime. From birth, JesusÕ God incarnate, being both God and man. The SaviorsÕ incarnation is what sets Christianity apart from all other religions and philosophies of the world, including Judaism and Islam. It is unique to Christianity that God takes the initiative to save sinners by way of His becoming a man while retaining His God nature. In the words of C.S. Lewis, ÒThe Son of God became a man to enable men to become sons of God.Ó There is no possible way to overestimate the importance of JesusÕ incarnation.
