Juxtapositions ~ Connections During Covid is a visual journal of navigating the first isolating and difficult months of the Covid pandemic. The original watercolors by the artist Carolyn Wilhelm, MFA, M DIV, each start with an underlying composition into which is placed landscapes and portraits from the artistÕs life. Accompanying the images are CarolynÕs gently considered thoughts about the stresses of the new pandemic, the wildfires in her area of the Pacific Northwest, and the nationÕs charged political tensions. Her responses are prayerful, grateful, and with a desire for our connections to grow even deeper because of the worldwide experience of global disease and climate changes.
